Jeroen Riemsdijk - Pianist

Jeroen Riemsdijk is a Dutch Concert Pianist, Chamber Musician, Teacher and Author. He performs regularly as soloist and with distinguished artists in Concerts Halls, on Festivals and in the recording studio. Riemsdijk teaches Piano at the Piano Faculty, and is musical coach at the Conservatoire of Maastricht. His discography contains over 20 albums, performing 20th century and contemporary composers Shostakovich, Rääts, Sisask, Khachaturian, Zhelobinsky, and Dutch Composers  Zwaag and Quodbach. Romantic composers Debussy, Kalkbrenner, Liszt, Brahms and Grieg.  Jeroen Riemsdijk received his ‘Konzertdiplom’ at the Folkwang Musikhochschule in Essen with Russian pianist Boris Bloch. He completed his initial studies ‘with distinction’ in the Class of Professor Ben Smits (a pupil of Cornelius Berkhout, Bela Siki and Clara Haskil) at ARTEZ. He was a prize winner at the ‘Start ‘86’ competition, and appeared as a soloist at the Young Musicians Foundation founded by Sir Yehudi Menuhin.
